I grew up in a family where medical journals littered the coffee table, and found a passion interrogating how those same academic discoveries shape America's scientific and political principles, healthcare, and health habits.
I got my start in journalism with The Atlantic's science, health, and technology team after college, and have covered reproductive health, the FDA, wellness trends, and more as a reporter at TIME and as a freelancer. Currently, I'm an editor at Science News, where I work with staff and freelance writers and manage our print health column.

In addition to my years at national magazines and freelance work, I've interned and reported at E&E News and Philadelphia Magazine, and I’ve worked as an editor for Healthline, the COVID Tracking Project’s blog, and the online magazine Lady Science.
